Warm milk (1 ½ cups)
Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
Eggs (3)
Vegetable or canola oil (to fry) (as required)
Granulated sugar (2 tablespoons)
Ground cinnamon (½ teaspoon)
Instructions:
Take a shallow bowl and pour the vanilla and warm milk inside. Take another shallow bowl and beat the eggs inside it until smooth. Then, combine the cinnamon and granulated sugar. Set aside.
Take a large sized skillet and pour oil in it. It should be enough to cover the pan's bottom. Turn the heat to mediums and begin to cook the Torrijas once the oil becomes hot.
Dip a bread slice into the milk and let both sides soak. Then, dip both sides of the bread into the beaten eggs. Put it into the pan and fry. Flip after a few seconds until both sides turn golden.
Take a plate and line it with paper towels. Put the Torrijas into the plate and sprinkle some sugar or cinnamon on top. Serve and enjoy!
